Owner and founder of Swimfast, Sue Young, has been sharing her passion for swimming for over a decade and has helped hundreds of swimmers swim faster!

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Sue has coached a wide range of swimmers - from age group swimmers, triathletes and open water swimming enthusiasts to aspirant English Channel swimmers.

​

Having completed a number of triathlons, long distance open water swims and ocean crossings, Sue understands the dedication and time it takes to reach swim goals.

​

Swimfast has evolved out of Sue’s passion for swimming, years of experience as an open water swimmer and a strong desire to help others.
 

She works exclusively with adult open-water freestyle swimmers who want to go further and stay injury free.

​

The Winter Training Squad she built is the only structured cold-water acclimatisation programme of its kind in South Africa. Her swimmers are acknowledge by Big Bay Events as coming well prepared for the Robben Island crossing challenge.
